About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Channel Growth Strategist to lead our channel strategy and drive growth through effective management of our distribution and partner network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive channel programs, fostering strong relationships with partners, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and coaching to the channel team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive channel strategy aligned with Fortinet's overall objectives, focusing on revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Identify and onboard new channel partners, distributors, and resellers to expand market reach and increase sales opportunities.
  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners, providing necessary support and resources to maximize their performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure alignment of channel strategies with overall business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and optimize channel strategies.
  • Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs for the channel, monitoring performance and making data-driven decisions to improve results.
  • Develop and manage budgets for channel initiatives and promotional activities, ensuring ROI and maximizing resource utilization.
  • Manage and develop programs offered by Fortinet directed at increasing revenues and brand preference from distribution channel and customer-facing partners (SIs, VARs, MSSPs, Telco etc.).
  • Manage and organize Fortinet's presence at partner conferences and events in the region.
  • Work closely with Channel Marketing Team to coordinate channel marketing activities and maximize their effectiveness.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of five years' senior channel leadership experience in Greater China, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
    • Experience in direct sales leadership or direct sales is beneficial, as well as experience selling security technologies, including building, operating, and bringing to market managed security services.
    • Excellent relationship network into the channel market, preferably in the security industry, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activities.
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Proven record of working under pressure, with excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation and project management skills.
    • Proactive and highly motivated, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent hiring skills to support future growth in pipeline, billings, and headcount.
    • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel & SFDC skills.
