About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Asset Manager to join our team at West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. As a key member of our digital asset management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the research, procurement, and rights clearances of images related to the museum's collections.

Responsibilities
  • Image Research and Procurement: Conduct thorough research to identify high-quality images that meet our collection standards.
  • Rights Clearances: Handle image licensing requests from external parties and negotiate terms and conditions for the use of images.
  • Digital Asset Management: Collaborate with Collection Managers and Photographers to manage images in our database, ensuring accurate metadata and efficient workflows.
  • Budgeting and Expenditure Monitoring: Assist in building project budgets and monitoring expenditures related to digital asset management.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop guidelines for image management and rights clearance procedures, adhering to Hong Kong Intellectual Property legislation and relevant regulations.
  • Training and Support: Provide expert advice, training, and troubleshooting services to internal teams.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and users to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Education: Recognized university degree or equivalent in design, visual art, art history, museum studies, visual communication, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Around 6 years of relevant experience in digital asset management, publishing, rights and reproduction, copyright, design, imaging, database, or web management.
  • Skills: Proven ability to work on print and online publication projects, handling large volumes of images; excellent digital imaging process skills; good knowledge of digital asset management and publishing flow; meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software such as Digital Asset Management (DAM) System, Collection Management System, The Museum System (TMS), Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Language: Good communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Cantonese and English; knowledge of Putonghua is a plus.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: HK$55,000 - HK$65,000 per month, depending on experience.
