Job Description

As our Senior Financial Manager for General Insurance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our General Insurance division. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the financial control process and ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Reviewing and analyzing payment and receipt journals, as well as month-end closing reports.
  • Preparing and presenting premium, claims, and reinsurance data to the actuarial team, business stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensuring accurate data reconciliation and report preparation.
  • Contributing to various projects, such as IFRS 17 implementation and HKRBC.
  • Handling investment projects and initiatives.
  • Preparing supporting documents, financial statements, and statutory filings for external auditors and regulators.
  • Collaborating on business initiatives, system enhancements, and finance projects.
  • Performing ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accounting and professional accountancy qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in general insurance financial accounting with audit experience.
  • General Insurance business experience is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Responsibility, self-motivation, and proactivity.
  • The ability to work under pressure and independently solve problems.
  • Detailed-mindedness with a strong sense of responsibility and good working attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
