We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Financial Controller to join our team at Talent Axis. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our general insurance business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Control: You will be responsible for reviewing daily finance operations and reporting to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
- Payment and Receipt Journals: You will review payment and receipt journals and month-end closing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Data Preparation: You will prepare premium, claims, and reinsurance data for actuarial teams, businesses, auditors, and regulatory filings.
- Reconciliation: You will handle data and reports reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Projects: You will involve in various projects such as IFRS 17 implementation and HKRBC.
- Investment Projects: You will handle investment projects and ensure they align with our business objectives.
- Financial Statements: You will prepare supporting documents, financial statements, and other statutory filings for external auditors and regulators.
- Business Initiatives: You will involve in business initiatives, systems enhancements, and finance projects to drive business growth.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: You will carry out ad hoc and other duties assigned by senior management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Degree Holder: You must hold a degree in Accounting or a related field and possess professional accountancy qualifications.
- General Insurance Experience: You must have at least 5 years of experience in general insurance financial accounting with audit experience.
- Business Acumen: You must have a good understanding of general insurance business operations.
- Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Problem-Solving Skills: You must be able to work under pressure and solve problems independently.
- Attention to Detail: You must be detail-minded with a strong sense of responsibility and good working attitude.
- Data Analysis: You must be able to analyze large amounts of data to inform business decisions.
- Technical Skills: You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing software.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum depending on experience.
