About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Advisory Engineer, Technology Consulting to join our team at Lenovo. As a key member of our technology consulting team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients achieve their business goals through the effective use of technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize business revenue by identifying and exploring new business opportunities and developing strategic plans to capitalize on them.
- Lead technology discussions with clients, influence their decisions, and establish and maintain strong relationships with them.
- Obtain and review client requirements and propose tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- Act as a liaison between the IT and business communities to ensure that proposed technology solutions meet tender requirements.
- Collaborate with external partners, internal technology groups, and Go-to-Market teams to develop solution proposals.
- Respond to RFI/RFPs and be responsible for the technical write-up, translation of functional and non-functional requirements into a solution design, and Scope of Work.
- Oversee the overall design and architecture of tender proposals.
- Prepare and conduct demonstrations/presentations to clients and partners.
- Work with partners and internal teams on architectural design, solution planning, and feasibility studies for end-to-end solution proposals, including infrastructure and network, cloud, and security technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in infrastructure and cloud.
- Solid experience in cloud, infrastructure, and virtualization solution architecture and design, or at least 2 years of working experience in the design and implementation of public and private cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with the latest technology trends (AI and cybersecurity) and a good understanding of IT best practices and methodologies.
- Experience in engaging director and C-level executives to pitch differentiated solution value.
- Positive attitude, fast-learning, energetic, and able to perform in a challenging environment.
- A good team player with analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, working independently, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation skills with a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
