We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join our team in Hong Kong, responsible for handling construction and engineering claims from inception to completion.



Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or engineering, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in loss adjusting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing claims in a timely and professional manner, including site visits, report writing, and negotiation with insurers and clients.


The role requires excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in the development of marketing strategies and identify new business opportunities.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating claims in a timely and professional manner
  • Undertaking site visits and meeting with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties
  • Preparing preliminary reports commenting in detail on all aspects of the claim
  • Instructing and controlling surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists and other experts as necessary
  • Communicating regularly with all interested parties and calculating and approving interim payments
  • Calculating, negotiating and agreeing settlement of claims


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree qualified in Construction / Engineering or other relevant subject
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience of relevant post-graduate experience as a loss adjuster
  • Holding professional adjusting certification or willing to undertake further study to attain loss adjusting qualifications
