Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Finance Leader to join our team at CTF Life. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage the Reporting and Accounting Policy function, driving strategic initiatives that support business growth and excellence.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team in delivering high-quality financial, regulatory, and management reporting. They will also effectively manage controls and governance related to accounting and reporting of financial transactions, including IFRS 17, HKRBC, and BMA.

In addition, they will lead the reconciliation framework for all key processes, collaborating with Actuarial and other relevant departments to ensure effective analytics of financial results and appropriateness of disclosures for financial statements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in managing teams and implementing operational dashboards. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to handle and deliver financial, regulatory, and management reporting.
  • Effectively manage the controls and governance relating to accounting and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Lead the reconciliation framework for all key processes.
  • Define, develop, implement, and monitor operational measurable dashboards as per stakeholder needs.
  • Streamline and enhance financial processes with effective tools and resource training.
  • Partner with planning functions in financial performance management of various channels, products, and overall company.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships within the industry and among key stakeholders to enhance business intelligence in the financial sector.
  • Foster proactive collaboration with stakeholders to provide solutions for ease of business in both closing and reporting areas.
  • Identify, analyze, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with business operations while safeguarding information assets in compliance with IT Security Policies.
  • Manage the distribution of Finance team resources effectively, ensuring all relevant accounting policies are implemented according to new regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and assist with various ad-hoc projects within the Finance Department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; Professional qualification in HKICPA or other professional accounting bodies.
  • 10-15 years of experience in financial or insurance industry, with minimum 5 years in managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards (IFRS) and technical knowledge of accounting and reviewing.
  • Possess relevant and proven knowledge and experience on HKRBC, Par Fund Management rules and regulations, as well as in the insurance sector, related rules and regulations, and investment asset class and regulatory knowledge.
  • Expert in Finance domain operational processes, including reconciliation controls.
  • Ability to lead the team to work effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
