Job Description

Talent Axis is seeking an experienced Chief Credit Card Authorization and Fraud Risk Specialist to lead the development of a fraud detection framework for cards and applications.

About the Role

This senior-level position will oversee credit card authorization and fraud detection processes, exercising delegated credit approval authority to approve temporary credit line increases in line with the Bank's risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fraud Detection Framework Development: Lead the development of a fraud detection framework for cards and applications, providing feedback and recommendations to department heads.
  • Credit Card Authorization: Oversee credit card authorization processes, ensuring alignment with market intelligence, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with internal and external parties, including HKMA, HKAB, law enforcement, industry practitioners, and card schemes, to ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects.
  • Product Review: Represent credit risk functions in the review of new product programs for cards and unsecured lending, making recommendations to department heads for approval.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher: In Business, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience: 8 – 10 years of experience in credit card authorization and fraud risk management.
  • Fraud Controls: Ability to independently conduct fraud controls and initiate mechanisms for credit card transactions.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly related to credit card and related products.
  • Industry Connections: Strong industry connections, especially in the credit card sector.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven experience in analyzing transaction behavior and utilizing MIS reports.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
