About the Role

As the Head of General Insurance/Medical Solution, you will lead the development teams in HK, TSS, and other vendors to deliver strategic programs/projects, digitalization roadmap, product launches, agency initiatives, and other projects for the company. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure good quality, timeliness, and alignment to Group requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex IT projects and ensure good quality of deliverables to fulfill business needs;
  • Assist the Director of Technology to formulate IT strategies, monitor, and provide regular updates to management on project progress and status of service requests;
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and provide advice on appropriate IT solutions to internal users;
  • Develop, improve, and review system workflow, functional specifications, system specifications, technical specifications, and system manual;
  • Gather business user requirements and prepare functional specifications;
  • Ensure all projects and service requests are implemented with proper test results, sign-off, and technical documentation in line with IT Standard/Guidelines and with proper management control;
  • Provide advice to internal users on subjects related to the use of Information Technology;
  • Lead resources and provide coaching to team members on various matters, including but not limited to self-discipline, work commitment, team spirit, and customer-focused;
  • Prepare project documentation, budget, cost & benefits analysis, system feasibility study, and IT product/solution evaluation.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in insurance industry a must with at least 5 years' project management experience at managerial level;
  • Experience in leading Project Office an advantage;
  • Experience in relational databases and application development;
  • Hands-on work experience in project management, business analysis, and system development.
  • Familiar with various IT platforms, including multi-tiers system architecture, Agile development approach, and IT System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience on DesOps / CI / CD is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability of leading IT projects to cope with various system initiatives and support the Company's growth and development;
  • Good presentation and communication skills with the ability to work with all levels;
  • Able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight timeline;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate and make recommendations on various complex IT/business solutions;
  • Experience in cloud technology
  • Good understanding and/or of following:Web and mobile app development: ASP.NET, C#, LINO,.Net Framework, HTML5, JQuery, Kendo, UI, Java Script, Ajax, Responsive Web Design (RWD), MVC model, SOAP & REST web services, Crystal Report and MS SQL, Net Core, Swift, Kotlin, MySQL, Mongo DB, RPAData analystics and artificial intelligence: Google Analystics, Mizpanel, serach Emgine Optimization (SEO), Tableau, Chatbot, ORC, AI data modellingFramework and architecture: Blockchain, Open API, OAuthUI.UX, design thinking and enterprise architecture design;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
