About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance and Safety Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering safe and reliable services.

As a Compliance and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing safety and compliance improvement programs to enhance the quality standards at the frontline. You will collaborate with various departments to foster a safety and quality mindset among staff.

You will participate in HAECO's Investigation Process (HIP) and Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) process to analyze root causes, generate remedial actions, and monitor progress. Additionally, you will work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that safety audit programs adhere to plans and meet compliance requirements.

You will hold regular meetings to discuss workplace environment, quality assurance, staff behaviors, and other safety and compliance-related issues. Furthermore, you will review and comment on amendments to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Ground Handling Instructions (GHI), and Engine Performance Manual (EPM) proposed by operation departments to ensure consistency across departments.

You will also lead the Task-Oriented Training (TOT) team to develop and deliver training programs to frontline staff, instilling a safety and compliance mindset. Regular review and update of TOT training content will ensure that updated policies, cases, and information are cascaded to frontline staff.

You will maintain and review staff competence programs and collaborate with other departments to develop staff advancement programs.

Requirements
  • 10 years related experience preferably in line/base maintenance of an airline's engineering department or an aircraft maintenance repair organization or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of managerial experience
  • Experience of working with a wide range of quality and safety programs
  • Experience in project management and lean initiatives
  • Degree holder or holder of HKAR 66 B1 or B2 License or equivalent
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Able to work in Hong Kong
