Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community, ensuring the dissemination of scientific and clinical information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical and educational strategies to support Company-sponsored trials, facilitate investigator-initiated studies, and develop educational initiatives.
  • Work with key customers to pair their educational and research needs with available Company resources and provide the latest emerging data in response to specific healthcare professional inquiries.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific, technical, or clinical information about Company products.
  • Engage with thought leaders at key academic centers and professional organizations in the geographical perimeter, discussing topics such as contrast agents, medical devices, medical imaging, interventional radiology, cardiovascular, neurology, and oncology.
  • Facilitate preclinical or clinical research or publication interests by thought leaders.
  • Represent the Company at professional meetings, congresses, local symposia, and partner-sponsored meetings, interpreting and reporting findings with recommendations for action to relevant Company personnel.
  • Provide educational support, such as continuing education programs, as requested by Sales staff.
  • Provide onsite support and assistance during product evaluation or trial process.
  • Report changes in medical practices.
  • Provide support in collating and reporting data in connection with safety events that arise in the context of use of Company products.
  • Assist with special projects in conjunction with Marketing, Sales, Clinical Development, or Compliance as directed.
Requirements
  • An advanced degree preferred, with experience in an appropriate discipline (e.g., epidemiology, health administration, health services, medicine, pharmacy, human biology, pharmacoeconomics, public health, psychology, statistics, or other relevant sciences) with at least 5 years of industry experience, or up to 10 years of significant previous training and experience in designing and conducting research and disseminating the results in the areas of health economics, health outcomes, disease management, and/or population health may substitute for the formal degree requirement.
  • Prior experience related to women's healthcare and/or infertility management will be a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of hospital environment and/or medical research environment.
  • Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, and related local/national/regional regulations and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of local/national/regional regulations and industry standards regarding interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge and experience of healthcare systems in the geographical perimeter.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.

  • Ability to network and partner with important external customers, including medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, and pharmacy directors.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for win-win interactions and to operate them while implementing scientific and educational strategies.
  • Excellent learning skills and competences to transform knowledge into clear, scientifically sound, and convincing communication.
  • Technical and analytic capabilities in the areas of health economic evaluation, cost-effectiveness evaluation, burden of illness studies, epidemiology, statistics, healthcare policy, etc.
  • Must be able to prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally that promote learning, obtain results, and strengthen alliances with the health outcomes function.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team/cross-functional environment.
  • The ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and a solution orientation.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • The position is associated with 40 to 70% travel time.
