About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Pilot Communication Strategist to join our team at Hong Kong International Airport. As a key member of our Flight Operations team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance engagement with our pilots.

You will be responsible for planning and organizing Crew Forums and engagement events to facilitate connections between management and pilots. You will also encourage, analyze, and follow up on action items from surveys, foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives.

You will ensure all policies and guidelines are up to date and continuously improve online platforms for pilots to access information, ensuring their effectiveness and accuracy. Additionally, you will contribute to U-FO on a quarterly basis, publish communications from reporting Managers, General Manager Training, General Manager Flying, and Director of Flight Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance engagement with HKE Pilots.
  2. Plan and organize Crew Forums and engagement events to facilitate connections between management and pilots.
  3. Encourage, analyze, and follow up on action items from surveys.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
  5. Ensure all policies and guidelines are up to date.
  6. Continuously improve online platforms for pilots to access information, ensuring their effectiveness and accuracy.
  7. Contribute to U-FO on a quarterly basis.
  8. Publish communications from reporting Managers, General Manager Training, General Manager Flying, and Director of Flight Operations.
  9. Revise and monitor all processes for pilots to obtain or apply any documents, ensuring they are well communicated, efficient, and effective.
  10. Collaborate, conduct, and draft communications for any new systems or projects for pilots.
  11. Support company-wide events to represent Flight Operations.
  12. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and training programs, making improvements as needed.
  13. Propose improvements and streamline processes to align with HKE and Flight Operations Excellence Team Vision and Mission.
  14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and innovation.
  15. Delegate tasks and monitor the performance of subordinates.
  16. Oversee the administration of crew records and coordinate with training providers. Monitor crew records and training requirements, and plan and execute training for line pilots.
  17. Deputize and support all other sub-sections within Flight Operations Excellence.
  18. Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by superiors, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in task management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in the administration field, with supervisory experience being an advantage.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with an understanding of database applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, a conscientious and mature attitude, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Good time management skills and proven experience in project management.
