Purpose
- Oversee the development and ongoing management of Microsoft O365 and Messaging Infrastructure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Corporate Directory Services, and support for FWD Life Insurance Corporation's IT platform and shared services.
- Build a deep understanding of key business areas across the region to plan, develop, and implement infrastructure solutions that meet corporate and service-specific objectives and align with the company's strategic priorities.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage, design, and architect Microsoft O365, Corporate Directory Services, Azure Virtual Desktop, and integration of third-party technology solutions.
- Support cloud adoption with the cloud operations and delivery team, aligning with the company's technology strategy.
- Support IT infrastructure and system setup and migration for new FWD business entities.
- Liaise with IT application, application architect, and security teams on the technical development of converged solutions and processes to enhance service operations.
- Conduct technical evaluations of the latest IT technology and management tools on Microsoft O365 environments.
- Lead the engineering team for the management and support of FWD Life Insurance Corporation's IT common services platform and services availability, capacity, and 7x24-hour support.
- Lead technical engineers to negotiate with vendors, auditors, and consultants.
- Ensure managed IT infrastructure meets compliance and security requirements.
- Develop and implement continual service improvement plans to reduce system downtime incidents, support calls, and commonly reported problems.
- Assist in vendor, contract, and license management.
- Support conducting DR drills and BCP processes.
Qualifications/Experience
- Degree holder in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent with more than 8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a managerial role.
- Holder of professional qualifications preferred, e.g., Microsoft O365, Azure, and VMware.
- Solid experience in MS O365, Active Directory Services, Azure Virtual Desktop, MS Exchange Online, Intune MDM, SCCM, cloud infrastructure (Azure & AWS), backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Project management skills are preferred.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Strong problem-solving, management, and analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of O365, Messaging, Server, Network, Storage, and Cloud Infrastructure (Azure & AWS), Virtualization, DR Management, and IT Security.
- Strong knowledge in Mobile & Hybrid Infrastructure Architecture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Understanding of IT operations in the insurance industry.
- Good command of written English and Chinese; fluent in spoken English.
- Willingness to learn new IT technology.
