Job Description

Amazon Data Services Hong Kong Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Delivery Expert to join our team. As a Network Delivery Expert, you will be responsible for delivering network capacity on time and collaborating with other Data Center and Networking teams to scale and prepare network infrastructure capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement projects according to assigned priorities and verify project requirements in terms of infrastructure capacity, materials, resources required, and lead time.
  • Prepare scope of work and request for quote for bid analysis and manage vendors to implement cabling and hardware installation work.
  • Comply with change management policies and guidelines for project activities and build network devices and troubleshoot issues with engineers.
  • Assure project quality on deliverables for handoff to operations and update project progress, and escalate risks and blockers to stakeholders.
  • Adhere to safety and security standards for all tasks and keep updated with latest process and design changes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support training and development in procedures and technical knowledge.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience and high school or equivalent diploma.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Good written and verbal English skills and ability to implement off-hours change management tasks.
  • Ability to work at different locations in Hong Kong and experience working in a redundant data center and network architecture.
  • Experience in installation, provisioning, and migration of network hardware, troubleshooting for networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, and project implementation, ticketing, and workflow management systems.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of IT best practice framework and process improvement.
