About the Role

The DFS Group is seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead the development and execution of strategic plans for the Beauty category. As a key member of the category team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, maximizing sales, and ensuring the successful management of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute compelling merchandising strategies for the Beauty category, aligning with the overall category vision.
  • Lead the Merchandise team in the development and execution of department strategies, ensuring flawless execution and achievement of strategic and financial metrics.
  • Provide leadership, creativity, and vision to drive the business for the Beauty category, ensuring alignment with the overall category goals.
  • Manage internal and external relationships to navigate all topics related to the department, fostering strong partnerships and securing brand participation in relevant initiatives across the DFS network.
  • Develop financial objectives and targets for the Beauty category, analyzing financials to determine further opportunities based on results.
  • Partner with Senior Planning Manager to achieve strategic and financial objectives for the Beauty category.
  • Drive successful commercial negotiations, focusing on profitability at the department level.
  • Identify and interpret opportunities based on seasonal, customer trends, PAX profiles, location specifics, and execute as appropriate.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned and accomplished manager with a wealth of experience in merchandising and brand management. You should have a minimum of 6 years of relevant progressive retail experience, with a background in buying, brand management, and/or planning. Specific category experience is preferred, with previous luxury market and international business exposure a plus. You must demonstrate strong analytical, creative, organizational, and communication skills at all levels, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing ambiguous environment.
