Job Summary

The Event Manager, Asia Pacific will oversee the planning and execution of B2B events in the Asia Pacific region, including The Exchange series, Luxury Group customer events, tradeshows, and other customer engagement programs. This role will be responsible for identifying and evaluating event sites, organizing programs and agendas, and managing all event logistics prior to, during, and post-event. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing events within a defined budget and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute B2B events in the Asia Pacific region, including The Exchange series, Luxury Group customer events, tradeshows, and other customer engagement programs.
  • Identify and evaluate event sites, organize programs and agendas, and manage all event logistics prior to, during, and post-event.
  • Manage events within a defined budget and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, including communications, brands, loyalty, digital, and sales, to bring Marriott brands to life and elevate the Marriott brand.
  • Build and maintain registration sites and projects for B2B customer events.
  • Manage RFP processes for event production and other events-related agencies.
  • Maintain full accountability for budget-related to assigned events.
  • Leverage digital tools and technology to elevate, promote, and track ROI for assigned events.
  • Liaise with local GSO teams and support event design, ensuring brand logos and brand voice are updated and shared, adhering to the allocated budget, and working closely with the meeting/show event owner to ensure all aspects are executed in a timely manner.
  • Provide in-depth post-event reports covering both qualitative and quantitative details.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in events marketing, demonstrating progressive career growth and exceptional performance.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin and English.
  • Previous experience in B2B events management, including tradeshows, conferences, seminars, hybrid events, and events across different destinations in Asia Pacific.
  • Attention to detail and self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet set timelines.
  • Creative and innovative, with the ability to keep abreast of event trends and make recommendations that elevate customer experience.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to formulate events strategy for APAC and report ROI from events hosted.
  • Proficiency in Cvent or other event management tools.
  • Excellent time management and strong agency/vendor management skills, with good communication and people skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
