Job Title: Linux Cloud Platform Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Cloud Platform Manager to join our team at Pinpoint Asia. As a key member of our technology recruitment firm, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing all cloud platforms to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 service availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the AWS cloud Subject Matter Expert, overseeing comprehensive management of the cloud estate.
  • Implement best practices for system and service management across diverse environments.
  • Deliver L1, L2, and L3 server support to the current support infrastructure.
  • Lead the management, coordination, and execution of server software updates, patches, and fixes.
  • Develop and adjust scripts or applications to automate routine tasks.
  • Contribute valuable suggestions to bolster the environment's stability, security, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine automation and deployment strategies.
  • Offer on-call support during non-business hours as necessary.
  • Engage in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning exercises.
  • Administer physical server infrastructure through remote management tools.
  • Manage and maintain virtual machines within both internal ESX environments and AWS.
  • Construct new physical and virtual servers in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Perform fault analysis and log data for performance exception reporting.
  • Actively monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience with external cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • In-depth understanding of Linux, especially RedHat, in both physical and virtual setups.
  • Practical experience with the deployment and setup of physical and virtual servers.
  • Familiarity with HPE or other server hardware and architecture.
  • Proficient in using Ansible or equivalent tools for automation.
  • Skilled in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, and Python for task automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Acquaintance with Kubernetes, Containers, and Dockers technology.
  • Insight into CI/CD pipeline processes and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.
  • Proficiency with VMWare and SAN management principles.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Linux certifications such as RHCT or RHCE are advantageous.
