Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Novare Technologies. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing core cloud compute services that provide virtual machines, bare metal, and storage to our business. You will also manage critical shared infrastructure like databases and message queues that are used by cloud infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implement Infrastructure: Design and implement infrastructure, processes, and automation for global complex environments.
  2. Requirements Gathering and Solution Implementation: Gather requirements, provide design, and implement solutions that align with our defined roadmap.
  3. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document designs, processes, projects, tools, standards, and techniques.
  4. Process Documentation and Maintenance: Document processes, installation procedures, and issue/resolution procedures.
  5. Cloud Platform Administration: Administer and maintain cloud platform.
  6. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot cloud platform-related issues.
  7. Data Lifecycle Management: Manage data lifecycle by leveraging cloud backup and archiving technologies.
  8. System Reconfiguration and Recommendations: Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) based on trends and make recommendations understanding long-term fiscal impacts.
  9. Technology Research and Development: Research technology to broaden knowledge of current and future issues and technologies.
  10. Team Development and Training: Train and develop junior team members in technical areas.
Requirements
  1. Experience: At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  2. Education: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  3. Desirable Qualifications: Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer – Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
  4. Storage System Design and Management: Experience designing and managing small to medium disk storage systems.
  5. OpenStack Background: OpenStack background or hands-on experience would be of great advantage.
  6. Computational Clusters: Experience with computational clusters including workload management software and parallel libraries such as OpenMPI.
  7. Technology Awareness: The desire and ability to keep abreast of new technologies including desktop, laptop, and server hardware; Linux and UNIX operating systems and application software; and High Performance Computing related technologies.
Competencies
  1. Linux and UNIX Administration: Strong experience in Linux and UNIX OS | RedHat administration, maintenance, and support including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using Linux/UNIX standard systems and software applications.
  2. Red Hat Certification: Red Hat certification RHCSA or RHCE desired.
