Role Overview

HSBC Private Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Senior Relationship Manager. This role is responsible for managing and developing a client's portfolio, participating in the team's organization, and ensuring appropriate administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a client's portfolio to achieve growth and revenue targets.
  • Provide full-service banking and all transactions to high-net-worth individual clients through the marketing of all appropriate company services.
  • Establish new relationships and manage existing relationships to generate new Assets Under Management (AUM) and revenue.
  • Cooperate with platform managers to clear pending items, improve quality, and resolve problems.
Impact on the Business
  • Grow revenue, increase AUM of portfolio, and increase inflows of net new money (NNM) by leveraging brand, channels, and RM network.
Customers / Stakeholders
  • Have regular contact and meetings with clients to ensure their objectives are met through an appropriate selection of products within the client portfolio.
  • Ensure clients are aware of their level of risk and provide research and analysis to support their investment decisions.
Leadership & Teamwork
  • Provide coaching and guidance to other Relationship Managers and create opportunities to develop their knowledge and experience level.
  • Lead by example by exhibiting behaviors consistent with HSBC values and provide assistance to fellow Relationship Managers.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
  • Work closely with other Bank Departments to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Ensure follow-up on all risk and compliance issues, such as CCR, KYC, Compliance requests, Risk Management requests, Internal Audit requests.
Requirements
  • Considerable experience in the banking sector, with a proven track record in asset gathering, asset growth, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills, highly developed communication skills for use in direct client contact and problem-solving.
  • Ability to provide strong financial and statistical analysis, strong customer service focus, attention to detail, and the ability to think creatively to solve problems.
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets and products, with Mandarin skills being essential.
