Job Summary:

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the continuous development and governance of enterprise data management strategies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement non-production data management using data registry and data masking tools.
  • Design and develop SQL, Python scripts, and Informatica TDM jobs to fulfill data masking requests.
  • Ensure functional and technical specifications align with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy.
  • Review data classification, data discovery, and data element mapping regularly to reflect latest business data solution changes.
  • Monitor test data requests to ensure data protection strategy is implemented.
  • Maintain an up-to-date test environment data repository to understand risk exposure of sensitive data.
  • Conduct regular data protection reviews and provide feasible recommendations for technical changes to improve data protection strategy.
  • Support training for relevant business functions requiring data masking.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on client questions and requests related to data masking.
  • Provide support and maintenance of data masking tool sets.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in enabling technologies and understand implications for software testing and data masking methods.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications or above with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Solution/System Analyst experience with exposure to data tools and one or more programming/scripting languages, particularly Informatica tools and technologies.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of IT experience with at least 3 years hands-on experience in data masking, data analytics, ETL development, and testing.
  • Strong competency in application support, infrastructure (Linux), and database administration experience, particularly in cloud (AWS & Azure).
  • Strong understanding of global, industrial data privacy or protection requirements.
  • Experience in data governance processes and metadata management tools is beneficial.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal effectiveness, process-driven, and focus on details.
  • Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to a broad range of audiences.
  • Focus on end-user needs and ability to set expectations and understand end-user behavior.
  • Good understanding of applicable technology concepts, trends, capabilities, and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with good command of Cantonese and Mandarin preferred.
  • Certification of ISTQB/PMP/CISA/ITIL/AWS/Azure is an advantage.
