Classy Wheeler Limited is seeking a skilled Database Administrator Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our MSSQL database servers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize database efficiency.
- Administrate database setup, mirroring, log shipping, and DB clustering environments to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Design and implement database security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement database standards and disaster recovery processes.
- Provide 24/7 support for database-related issues and emergencies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices to ensure our database infrastructure remains secure and efficient.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in database management, with a focus on MSSQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of MySQL is a plus, but not required.
