We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team at the City University of Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise databases to support business operations.
- Provide application support and resolve problems related to the enterprise database.
- Develop and maintain application infrastructure for system development and operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database security and access control.
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize database performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in Oracle database administration and development with SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and Exadata is highly preferred.
We offer a highly competitive remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract, with fringe benefits including gratuity, leave, medical, and dental schemes.
