Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and HR Relationship Managers to develop and implement practices and programs that foster positive employee relations.
  • Ensure that the bank's strategies and decisions are fair and inclusive for all employees.
  • Develop and implement plans, practices, and procedures to support senior business stakeholders and HR Relationship Managers in handling complex employment matters.
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for HR Relationship Managers on complex employee relations issues, including employee discipline and misconduct, employment-related disputes, and employee terminations; leading investigations and resolving them in a fair and appropriate manner.
  • Understand the bank's risk appetite and risk culture, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Govern the bank's employee grievance and disciplinary processes.
  • Assist management with the execution of compliance programs and audits.
  • Assist the in-house legal team in coordinating documentation related to HR employment litigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience with a legal or compliance background is preferred.
  • Experience in coaching, consulting, and advising employees, HR, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict resolutions.
  • Knowledge of employment policies, practices, and employment law and regulations. A legal background is preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
