About the Role

The Senior Trade Sales Specialist will play a key role in driving business growth and revenue for United Overseas Bank's Wholesale Banking division. This individual will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new trade sales opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and providing expert advice on trade finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with client-facing teams to consult on trade sale opportunities and provide product expertise to deliver solutions to clients.
  • Develop and maintain existing and prospect client relationships, working closely with Relationship Managers to ensure trade facilities are well structured and efficiently established.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure client requirements are timely addressed and met.
  • Identify potential clients through data mining and market intelligence, and follow up on new leads and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials, staying current with product knowledge and adapting to market changes.
  • Monitor client revenue trends and manage shortfalls through active sales/client management processes.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in sales and marketing events for clients.
  • Source and maintain local and regional market information, competitor product offerings, and pricing through active networking and client interactions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of trade sales experience, particularly with MNCs, large local corporations, and Chinese private-owned enterprises.
  • Strong understanding of trade and Financial Supply Chain Management/Receivable Finance products and services.
  • Solid experience in trade finance technical, operational, and regulatory concepts.
  • Demonstrated success in deals closure and prospecting.
  • Credit knowledge and analytical skills are a plus.
  • Innovative mindset and ability to think outside the box.
  • Certified ECF qualification is preferred.
