Portfolio Manager Associate for Private Equity Fund Setup and Operations

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager Associate to join our team at Capital Access Limited. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the setup of new funds and obtaining necessary licenses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Fund Setup and Licensing:
- The ideal candidate will assist in the establishment of new funds, including preparation of fund documentation and coordination with legal and compliance teams.
- They will manage the licensing process for new funds, ensuring timely submission of applications to relevant authorities.
Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Our Portfolio Manager Associate will execute private equity fund accounting and maintain accurate records of investment transactions.
- They will prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, investor reports, and other fund-related documentation.
Operational Management:
- The successful candidate will oversee daily operational functions related to investment funds, including processing fund-related activities and managing operational risks.
- They will liaise with fund administrators to ensure smooth processing of transactions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Investment Support:
- Our Portfolio Manager Associate will assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis and due diligence.
- They will support fundraising efforts by preparing necessary documentation and presentations for potential investors.
Collaboration and Communication:
- The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including investors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- They will address client inquiries related to fund operations, sales, and legal documentation.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in FP/A, Financial Analysis, Transaction Services / M&A / Deals Advisory in asset management / private equity / family office / Consulting firms is highly regarded.
- Big 4 experience is HIGHLY REGARDED, Transaction Services / M&A / Deals Advisory experience is a PLUS.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial principles, investment strategies, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is required, with proficiency in Mandarin being a MUST due to daily communication with colleagues based in PRC mainland.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
