Job Requirements
  • Manage a team of 10-20 IT professionals, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of a state-of-the-art transaction processing and analytics system.
  • Lead the requirement analysis, design, development, code review, testing, deployment, and documentation of the project.
  • Define development tasks, monitor progress, and report on delivery tasks.
  • Hire, coach, and mentor team members to maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Identify project risks, provide early warnings, and suggest solutions.
  • Prioritize resources with tight deadlines.
  • Monitor progress at key points in the process to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Oversee external vendors for solution integration and compliance with standards.
  • Seek opportunities to improve work practices and processes.
  • Communicate with executive leadership on project status and requirements that impact strategic direction.
  • Formulate long-term objectives and performance standards for the department.
  • Ensure the department achieves objectives and completes projects within budget and timeframe.
Qualifications
  • University graduate with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in information systems design, software development, IT management, and project management.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in team management of a medium-sized software team (~10 developers) with a track record in leading complex system development projects.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and deploying large-scale analytics systems.
  • Knowledge of best practices for the full software development life cycle.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming skills, with Python, PHP, or Java preferred.
  • Experience with NoSQL or RDBMS platforms - MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Redshift.
  • Strong team leader with strong interpersonal skills who can work under pressure, independently, and proactively.
  • Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative, with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
