We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager, Digital Asset, to join our team at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Museum's digital assets, collaborating with the Collection Managers and Photographer, and ensuring the smooth operation of our digital asset management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Museum's digital assets, including images, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Collaborate with the Collection Managers and Photographer to ensure the accuracy and consistency of digital asset metadata.
  • Develop and implement guidelines for image management and rights clearance procedures.
  • Provide training and support to teams on digital asset management and rights clearance procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external service providers and users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Recognised university degree or equivalent in design, visual art, art history, museum studies, visual communication, or related disciplines.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in digital asset management, publishing, rights and reproduction, copyright, design, imaging, database, or web management.
  • Proven ability to work on in print and online publication projects in the art, cultural, or other relevant fields.
  • Excellent digital imaging process skills and good knowledge of digital asset management and publishing flow.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in software, including Digital Asset Management (DAM) System, Collection Management System, The Museum System (TMS), Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with proficiency in Cantonese and English.
