What you’ll be doing A Senior Public Relations Executive plays a vital role in managing the organisation’s communication strategy, enhancing its public image, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. The following responsibilities outline the core duties of the role. Key Responsibilities Strategic Communication Management: develop and implement communication strategies that align with the company’s goals and enhance its reputation. Media Relations: build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to ensure positive coverage of the organisation. Monitoring and Reporting: track media coverage and analyse public relations efforts to assess their effectiveness; prepare reports for management review. Content Creation: write, edit, and distribute press releases, promotional materials, and internal communications to convey key messages effectively. Content/News Distribution: oversee content distribution strategies, maximising reach and engagement on social media, digital, and print channels. Event Coordination: plan and manage public relations events, including press conferences, product launches, and community outreach initiatives. Performance Measurement: analyse the effectiveness of PR campaigns and strategies through metrics and reporting to assess impact on public perception. Administrative Tasks: update the corporate press kit, maintain an archive of press kits, manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and maintain records related to PR activities. Stakeholder Engagement: communicate with employees, customers, investors, and government entities to ensure consistent messaging. About you Excellent Communication Skills: strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential for crafting messages that resonate with diverse audiences. Interpersonal Skills: ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and media representatives. Organisational Skills: strong organisational capabilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Analytical Skills: proficiency in analysing data related to PR campaigns to inform strategy adjustments. Digital Savvy: familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies to enhance outreach efforts. Education: a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is typically required. Experience: generally 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in public relations or corporate communications is expected. Writing Proficiency: solid years of writing, editing, and content development from lifestyle, corporate to PR writing skills.
