We are looking for a V.I.E. to join the MARK/BMO team. The department's aim is to support MARK's development and to prevent operational risks. We are a global team and a key partner for MARK business lines and activities, enabling to serve the needs of its clients in a secured way. Combining process and business expertise, quality of execution, technology advisory, innovative solutions and operational risk prevention, MARK/BMO is a trusted advisor helping to ensure the highest service levels to clients. It plays a pivotal role in coordinating with Support and Control functions in Finance, IT, Operations, Risks, Compliance and Legal. The main mission is to run day-to-day operations while also delivering on business-critical key projects, such as new business, regulations or transformation.

The FIC Business Management Office focuses on building, managing & optimizing existing processes from pre-trade and post-trade. It ensures the best service is offered to Global Market clients and Stakeholders by:

  • supporting projects to develop and secure our franchise
  • improving and optimizing our business operations
  • enhancing the FIC monitoring framework

Throughout the mission, the V.I.E. will:

  • gain an understanding of the internal processes and how to improve them
  • support Sales/Traders in the onboarding process
  • support Sales/Traders on day to day IT and various set up issues
  • help to monitor the Permanent Supervision (PS), and make sure PS is performed by Sales & Traders
  • maintain procedure documents of our processes

Due to the VIE eligibility criteria a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.

Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance

• A previous experience in an investment bank would be appreciated

Language skills:

• Fluent in English (B2-C1);

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

• Proficient/Good command of MS Office, Python would be a plus

• Good communication and presentation skills

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
