Senior Manager, Product Development – Aegon TLB is actively expanding its High‑Net‑Worth (HNW) life insurance product offerings to achieve aggressive business growth targets. The role will work closely with the Head of Pricing and Product Development to formulate plans and implement product solutions across global markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Middle East. The successful applicant will lead discussions with various functions, propose, agree and execute product solutions that fit the company’s strategy, and be involved in the end‑to‑end product development cycle, from idea generation to ongoing product management and enhancement. Responsibilities Manage new product ideas and develop business cases, coordinating feasibility analysis and concept refinement with Sales, Marketing, Actuarial, Risk, etc., and prioritising evidence‑based cases for approval by the Product Steering Committee and senior management. Translate agreed product ideas into optimal product solutions and create business/technical specifications in collaboration with Underwriting, Actuarial, Risk, IT, Ops and other technical functions. Oversee product implementation, leveraging the support of the Project Manager and the product working group. Execute “Take to Market” plans, coordinating new product launches, enhancements and campaigns with Sales, Marketing and external agencies, and develop appropriate sales and marketing tools. Manage product lifecycle, innovating, enhancing and revamping products to maintain competitiveness over time by leveraging data and market trends. Communicate proactively across the organisation to orchestrate all activities and ensure smooth execution. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related area. At least 8 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 3–5 years in life insurance product development. Experience in the HNW life insurance space is an advantage. Strong knowledge of life insurance products; experience with Universal Life and Term Life is a plus. Fluent in English and Chinese (writing and speaking). Experience in end‑to‑end product development, particularly with product design and pricing. Ability to crystallise business ideas and transform them into optimal product designs, solutions and specifications for execution. Ability to work cross‑functionally to achieve desired business outcomes. Ability to draft and review product‑related materials in English and Chinese. Customer‑centricity with attention to detail. Advanced knowledge of the HNW market and broker distribution model. Project planning and management skills. Familiarity with actuarial or financial modelling concepts to assess product feasibility and profitability. Creativity in developing out‑of‑the‑box solutions.
