This role is a key part of their innovation pipeline, working at the intersection of high-performance design and scalable manufacturing. About the Job As a Senior Product Developer, you will be based in the Hong Kong office, where you will join the team working to bring new outdoor products to life. This is an execution-focused role where you will translate design concepts from the US-based team into viable, manufacturable solutions. You will be the crucial link ensuring that design intent aligns perfectly with production realities. Key Responsibilities Leading the development and execution of new product projects in close partnership with the US design and development teams. Serving as the main engineering point of contact in Hong Kong, collaborating with the local team and sharing resources. Coordinating directly with suppliers across China and Asia to ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and production readiness. Regularly traveling into Mainland China and Southeast Asia to follow up with factories, monitor progress, and resolve technical production challenges. Gathering and evaluating new manufacturing techniques, factory capabilities, and emerging product trends to inform future projects. Actively contributing to continuous product innovation and refinement processes. Assisting with quality assurance (QA) tasks as needed, in collaboration with the existing QA team. Skills & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline. 5–8 years of relevant experience, ideally with outdoor consumer products (e.g., gear, tools, sporting goods). Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development cycles, and supplier collaboration in Asia. Fluency in English (both written and verbal) for daily communication with the US team is required. Willingness to travel frequently within Mainland China and Southeast Asia.
