We are looking for an Events Executive based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong

As an Events Executive, we rely on you to:

  • Handle logistics arrangements for confirmed events and groups, demonstrating proactive coordination with or without event organizers.
  • Liase with event/group organizers on finalizing details, including offering professional advice on rooming list, set-ups, and planning of events.
  • Practice up-selling at all opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Ensure effective communication with clients and internal departments.
  • Disseminate group-related information to other departments (e.g., issues Banquet Event Orders, Group Resumes, and chairs pre-event meetings).
  • Maintain close coordination with respective departments upon organizers’ requirements.
  • Oversee the operation of banquet functions to ensure a consistent quality service is provided to the guests.
  • Review the Master A/C postings to ensure their accuracy and bills with organizers on a daily basis to eliminate adjustments needed on the final invoice.
  • Maintain close communication with the concerned Events Sales Manager in the process.
  • Provide insight and feedback on market trends, staying updated on client relationships and aligning with overall business objectives through close communication with Events Managers.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in events management, preferably in hotels with similar capacity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
