About The Role Grade Level: 12 Our Pre‑Sales Consultants provide business and technical expertise to support our Sales team. This role focuses on supporting our front office Private Markets business, encompassing both software and services. Strong foundation for future growth in Enterprise Technology with progression to Pre‑Sales, Sales, or Product Management roles. Join one of the most dynamic sales teams within S&P Global’s Market Intelligence division. Responsibilities Engage with prospective clients and understand their specific needs related to Portfolio Monitoring in Private Markets. Present software and its benefits, demonstrating how it meets client requirements. Provide product expertise during the sales process, including demonstrations, RFI/RFP responses, workshops, and POCs. Articulate technology and product positioning to business and technical users. Provide internal expertise to Product Management teams to inform future development. Stay up to date with latest trends and developments in Private Markets and Portfolio Monitoring software. What We’re Looking For 5+ years’ experience in a client‑facing role such as Pre‑Sales Engineering, Technical Solutions, Software Sales, or related field. Excellent presentation and communication skills; experience presenting technical concepts to senior business users. Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving ability. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and modeling. Strong communication skills in English and Japanese. Additional Preferred Qualifications Demonstrable knowledge of Private Markets. Ability to handle objections in one‑on‑many situations.
