Our client is a dynamic, Hong Kong-based innovator in the global apparel sector, specializing in high-quality smart garment production and sustainable textile solutions. Established in 1996 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange since 2021, we blend cutting‑edge technology—such as smart fabrics and eco‑friendly manufacturing processes—with traditional craftsmanship to serve premium international brands across Europe, North America, and Asia. Company Background Headquartered in Kwun Tong with primary manufacturing facilities in mainland China, our operations span design, production, and supply chain management, employing over 5,000 dedicated team members committed to ethical practices and innovation. As a leader in men’s formal and casual wear, including innovative smart shirts with integrated tech features, we have achieved consistent revenue growth, exceeding RMB 2 billion annually, driven by our focus on quality and sustainability. As we expand our footprint in sustainable fashion, digital integration, and international markets, we seek a strategic finance leader to drive our next phase of growth. Position Overview The CFO will serve as a pivotal member of the executive team, partnering with the CEO and Board to safeguard and enhance the company’s financial health. This hands‑on leadership role demands a blend of strategic vision and operational excellence, with a focus on supporting our apparel manufacturing ecosystem through robust financial frameworks. Ideal candidates bring Big 4 audit experience, proven in listed or high‑growth manufacturing environments, to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and fuel sustainable expansion. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy and Planning Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business objectives, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning to support growth in smart apparel production. Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate financial insights into operational decisions, such as supply‑chain optimisation and product innovation investments. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide scenario analysis to guide resource allocation in a volatile global textile market. Capital Management and Financing Oversee capital structure, cash‑flow management, and treasury operations to ensure liquidity for manufacturing expansions and R&D initiatives. Identify and secure financing opportunities, including debt/equity raises, bank facilities, and cross‑border funding aligned with mainland China and Hong Kong operations. Manage working capital, foreign‑exchange risks, and supplier financing in multi‑currency environments, leveraging apparel industry trends for cost efficiencies. Financial Reporting and Compliance Lead the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with CAS, IFRS/HKFRS, and SSE guidelines for publicly listed entities. Coordinate external audits (with preference for Big 4 familiarity) and ensure robust internal reporting systems for stakeholders, including monthly/quarterly board packs and regulatory filings. Implement tax planning and compliance strategies across Hong Kong, mainland China, and regional operations, minimising liabilities while adhering to anti‑money‑laundering, trade, and cross‑border regulations. Risk Management and Internal Control Design and maintain a strong internal control framework to mitigate financial, operational, and supply‑chain risks in garment manufacturing (e.g., raw material volatility, sustainability audits, and geopolitical factors). Conduct regular risk assessments, fraud prevention measures, and cybersecurity protocols for financial data. Foster a culture of governance and ethical finance, ensuring adherence to SSE listing requirements and preparing for enhanced ESG reporting in the apparel sector. Business Decision Support Provide data‑driven insights to the CEO and Board on M&A opportunities, cost‑benefit analyses, and profitability enhancements for smart shirt lines. Lead a high‑performing finance team (5‑10 members), mentoring on best practices and driving process improvements via ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar). Act as a strategic advisor on commercial initiatives, such as partnerships with global brands or entry into emerging markets like sustainable textiles. Qualifications and Experience Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s (MBA) or professional qualification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred. Big 4 (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) audit experience is preferred . Experience : 15+ years in progressive finance roles, with 8+ years in senior leadership (e.g., Senior Finance Manager, Finance Director, or CFO) within manufacturing, apparel/textile, or consumer goods industries. A proven track record in SSE‑listed companies or cross‑border operations (Hong Kong/mainland China) is highly desirable. Skills Expertise in financial modelling, ERP systems, and advanced Excel; familiarity with apparel‑specific metrics (e.g., cost per garment, inventory turnover). Strong leadership and communication skills, with Cantonese/English fluency (Mandarin a plus for regional ops). Strategic thinker with hands‑on operational experience; ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative environment. Personal Attributes : Integrity‑driven, adaptable, and collaborative; passion for sustainable fashion and manufacturing excellence. What We Offer Competitive remuneration package (HKD 80K‑100K base + bonus up to 3 months). Comprehensive benefits: medical/dental coverage, 18 days annual leave, and flexible hybrid work options. Professional growth: exposure to global apparel trends, leadership training, and opportunities in an SSE‑listed entity. A vibrant Kwun Tong office with modern facilities, near MTR for easy commute.
