Assistant Academic Service Manager (REG) - (25002FF) Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is a modern, vibrant and dynamic university that tailors its professional programmes to market trends. Major Duties and Responsibilities Lead a small team of supporting staff in delivering administrative services in the Undergraduate Admissions Team of the Registry. Administer student admission for undergraduate (UG) programmes, including JUPAS and non-JUPAS admissions, and contribute to strategic enhancements in the admissions area. Oversee the UG Admission counter and daily office operations, provide guidance to counter staff, handle complex customer inquiries, and develop operating rules and guidelines for counter operations. Prepare data and statistical reports for UG admissions. Liaise with academic/administrative units and external parties on admissions and related functions. Assist in the development and implementation of system enhancements to suit the needs of admissions. Assist in the review and implementation of policies, regulations, and procedures related to admissions. Provide administrative support to committees. Perform other duties as assigned by the Registrar or delegates. Candidate Requirements A recognised degree with at least 3 years of post‑qualification experience in administration and supervision, preferably in student admissions at tertiary institutions (experience with JUPAS/non‑JUPAS is desirable). Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua. Knowledge of admissions systems, regulatory compliance, and customer service best practices. Strong interpersonal, communication and data analytics skills. Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills. Good analytical abilities, with proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software). Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong commitment to work, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to new changes and technologies.
