Academic Service Officer / Assistant Academic Service Officer (Graduate School) Founded in 1989, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is a modern, vibrant and dynamic university. Major Duties and Responsibilities Providing support for day‑to‑day operations of the Graduate School, and matters related to finance and human resources; Performing duties related but not limited to applications handling, student registrations, tuition fee collection, candidature confirmation, thesis submission, website maintenance, examinations, and record keeping for research postgraduate and professional doctoral programmes; Providing professional frontline student and career services, including manning the School counter, handling inbound and outbound phone calls and emails, etc.; Providing support for committee work; Providing support to supervisors in coordination and liaison with internal and external parties; Assisting supervisors in the preparation of meetings, reports, publications, student events, and School activities; and Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Candidates A recognised degree with at least 2 years of relevant post‑qualification work experience gained in the higher education sector, preferably related to research postgraduate and doctoral programmes; Service‑oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); Proficient digital skills with the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Chinese word processing); Capable of multi‑tasking and attentive to details; and Be a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and motivation. Candidates may be invited to attend a written test. Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Academic Service Officer.
