IBD Associate Director / Director (IPO Execution) Company: Well‑known State‑owned investment bank / investment platform. The company is licensed with SFC 1, 4, 6, 9. Responsibilities Develop and execute the firm’s investment banking strategy, leading a team of seasoned professionals. Work closely with cross‑functional departments, including risk management, legal, and compliance. Implement best practice on IPO execution, drive and enhance investment banking business, including IPOs and advisory transactions. Oversee the department’s functions and manage the implementation of IPO projects. Lead and execute corporate financing activities, with a focus on managing IPO transactions. Play a key role in deal screening and due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and procedures. Act as the primary liaison with the risk department, assessing issues related to listing applications in IPO sponsor transactions. Review a range of documents including prospectus, accountants’ reports, reorganisation memos, legal opinions, listing application documents, forecasts, and financial models. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, ECM team, legal advisers, and co‑sponsoring parties. Engage with regulatory bodies such as the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the SFC, managing feedback, timelines, and project logistics. Requirements Current holder of Representative licences registered under SFC (Type 6). Minimum 6 years of experience in investment banking with substantial execution experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders. Broad understanding of investment banking and corporate finance. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and internal policies relevant to investment banking; sound understanding of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO), regulations, and guidelines.
