Overview Business Development Manager (Telecommunication Industry) - Hong Kong SAR Responsibilities Business opportunity development Proactively gain insight of the telecommunication industry in Hong Kong, identify key/potential customers, and locate key decision-makers and customers\' needs. Engage with customers in their language to initiate conversations, build trust, explore product and technology needs, and create solid business opportunities. Regularly contact existing and potential customers to gather information such as business plans, budgets, supplier status, organizational structure, and technical environment. Maintain relationships at all levels and establish long-term business and technical relationships with customer CXOs to obtain essential support. Product and technology empowerment Based on understanding the customer\'s industry and business background, help customers understand the technical value of Alibaba Cloud products (e.g., Feitian Cloud Computing Operating System, Seven Big Pieces, AI/Intelligent Computing) and their competitive advantages relative to competitors; position Alibaba Cloud as the best partner. Independently explain Alibaba Cloud\'s standard product solutions to customers, or with SA support, clearly convey competitiveness and business value. Decision-making facilitation and business opportunity conversion Integrate resources to help customers make informed decisions, adopt and continue using Alibaba Cloud products and solutions, and create ongoing value. Transform opportunities into real projects using sales strategies such as effective communication, influence, and negotiation to achieve client win-win outcomes. Feedback customer issues that affect their experience and assist in improving products/solutions. Business support Provide business support throughout the customer life cycle and coordinate resources to ensure project implementation. Qualifications More than 5 years of B2B sales or pre-sales experience, with experience in public cloud preferred. Extensive experience selling software products; experience with PaaS products is preferred. Ability to independently interact with customer C-level executives to complete effective business and technical communication. Understanding of customer business and digital transformation needs; ability to diagnose customer technical problems in specific business scenarios and provide competitive solutions. Ability to pace negotiations, independently complete project negotiations, and achieve target results. Understanding of technological evolution in the product field; ability to compare technical characteristics of similar products and address common questions about product development trends from partners and customers. Ability to identify and classify key stakeholders and tailor communication strategies for different customers. Strong communication skills, active listening, and clear articulation of opinions. Excellent service mindset; able to address customer problems through to resolution and ensure satisfaction.
