Focus of the Role As part of the Enterprise Account Management team, the Sales Manager will retain and grow Telstra’s existing enterprise customer base. You will act consultatively, develop a deep understanding of your customers’ challenges and opportunities, and offer innovative solutions that deliver tangible business outcomes. You will develop strategic account plans, implement tactical action plans, and lead virtual teams across multiple time zones to provide a seamless, global experience for customers. What You’ll Do Telstra Infraco – Global Enterprise provides sales and service support to Telstra’s international customers. The Sales Manager is responsible for retaining and growing existing customer accounts, finding new business, and expanding opportunities within the assigned territory. Manage and lead the sales team to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets. Grow existing customer revenues and discover new opportunities within the territory. Protect existing customer revenues that are at risk. Develop and progress business opportunities through the sales process and close deals. Create and update the overall Sales Plan, including target accounts, research, activity metrics, contact & engagement strategy, and marketing campaigns. Complete and continuously improve Strategic Account plans and share‑of‑wallet analyses to achieve sales, revenue, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) targets. Engage in cold calling and appointment‑setting activities. Attend face‑to‑face customer meetings. Develop proposals in response to customers’ requirements. Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. Handle customer enquiries by email and telephone. Create presentations and present them to customers and prospects. Represent Telstra in alignment with corporate values to all existing customers. Communicate professionally with decision makers and influencers at all levels. Build and nurture constructive relationships, executing strategic account plans to keep Telstra top‑of‑mind for relevant opportunities. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years of sales and/or marketing experience in an IT or communications‑related business. International telecommunications experience required. Demonstrable experience leading virtual teams to deliver desired outcomes. Salesforce CRM experience preferred. Proven success in driving customer advocacy. Technical proficiency in IT and telecommunications. Understanding of the international communications market and competitive environment. Ability to establish and build multi‑layer relationships with customers. Independent self‑starter and collaborative team player. Strong planning and execution skills with clear action points and issue resolution. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM. Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills. Ambition to take on a senior sales role such as Business Development Manager or Senior Account Director. Language Requirements High‑level oral, written, presentation, and communication skills in English. Multilingual capabilities a plus. Experience with presentations and public speaking. Reasoning Ability Strong reasoning and problem‑solving skills required. Capacity to construct solutions from diverse information sources. Outstanding customer relationship management skills, including effective information gathering, presentation, negotiation, and rapport building. Benefits Performance‑related pay.
