Term Assistant Lecturer (Information and Communications Technology) Add expected salary to your profile for insights Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology at IVE (Sha Tin) Department / Section: Department of Information Technology Major Duties: To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration; To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and To participate in departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. Requirements: A recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; A high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; A good team player and able to work independently and work under pressure; Good knowledge of AI application development and/or mobile application development is preferred; Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience would be an advantage; Preferred Qualifications (Mandarin Proficiency): Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher where the medium of instruction was Mandarin; Have at least 3 years of work experience in mainland China or other Mandarin-speaking countries / regions; Have passed the Mandarin Proficiency Test with a score of at least Level 3B (三级乙等) or above. Notes: The post is at the rank of Teaching Associate. Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
