Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer

Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology at IVE (Sha Tin) Department / Section : Department of Information Technology Subject Area(s) : (i) Information and Communications Technology (ii) Multimedia and Entertainment Technology Major Duties : To perform teaching duties in the above subject area(s), supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials and project work; To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental / discipline projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. Requirements : A recognised degree in IT, Multimedia or related field, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience; Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; preferably including Putonghua; A good team player and able to work independently and work under pressure; Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience would be an advantage; For the specialisation of Information and Communications Technology: Good knowledge in software / mobile application development; OR Good knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning; For the specialisation of Multimedia and Entertainment Technology: Good knowledge in multimedia applications and interactive installations; OR Good knowledge in game development or animation production; OR Good knowledge in VR/AR application development. Notes : Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
