Job Title: Lecturer I / II Department: Department of Physics Job ID: 11088 Job Posting Details The Department of Physics in the School of Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology seeks applicants for the full-time position of Lecturer I or II. Major responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses (mostly in physics and data science), curriculum development, student project supervision, and any other duties assigned by the Department Head of Physics. Qualifications Doctoral degree in physics or a related field Experience in applied data science and/or computational physics Teaching experience in tertiary education Excellent communication skills Experience with scientific applications of AI (advantage) Less experienced candidates will be considered for a Lecturer II position (Duration: 2 years, renewable subject to performance review and mutual agreement) Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
