VP/Director – Counterparty Risk Management Huatai International Financial Holdings Company Limited (“Huatai International” or “the Company”) is the only overseas wholly‑owned or controlled subsidiary of Huatai Securities. It is the Huatai Group’s international arm and plays a crucial role in the group’s internationalization strategy by providing offshore capital market services, supporting onshore clients with cross‑border services, and integrating across jurisdictions to build a fully integrated global financial platform. In recognition of its international strength, the renowned rating agency Standard & Poor’s has assigned Huatai International a “BBB+” rating (long‑term) and “A‑2” rating (short‑term). Role Overview The counterparty risk officer will manage and mitigate counterparty risk for Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited by assessing the creditworthiness of counterparties to ensure the firm’s exposure to default risk is minimized. A strong understanding of derivatives, repos, and securities lending is essential. This position offers a unique opportunity to safeguard the firm’s financial stability while gaining exposure to a wide range of financial markets and products. Responsibilities Counterparty Risk Analysis Perform due diligence on new and existing counterparties (banks, broker‑dealers, hedge funds, corporates, etc.), assess creditworthiness, and assign internal credit rating scores. Prescribe credit terms and covenants for legal documentation such as ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, etc. Recommend and set appropriate counterparty limits and initial margin terms. Exposure Measurement & Monitoring Calculate and monitor current and potential future exposures for derivative portfolios and securities financing transactions. Continuously monitor counterparty exposures against approved limits and market conditions to identify potential risks. Oversee the collateral management process (margin calls, disputes, collateral eligibility). Manage limit excesses: investigate causes, elevate breaches, and work with Front Office to remediate. Reporting & Communication Prepare clear and concise risk reports and communicate findings, limit breaches, and recommendations to Front Office, Senior Management, and Collateral teams. Participate in regulatory examinations and audits. Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk policies and procedures. Requirements Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong analytical skills for risk modeling and financial analysis. Solid programming skills to handle quantitative data analysis independently. Detail‑oriented with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. Team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Proficient oral and written skills in Mandarin and English; Cantonese is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
