Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.
Job Purpose
- Responsible for business development for marine application (service for existing mtu engine and engine for new/existing customer under new vessel) in HK.
- Sell all products (service and engine) of marine application in HK.
- Manage customer relationships and collect market information.
- Develop business by sustaining existing customer base, developing new customers and penetrating new segments.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, monitor and report marine applications business for planning horizon concerned including Sales Service contribution (SP, budget).
- Provide service customer, market and population information for relevant Sales, Service and network employees.
- Responsible for incoming orders and revenue.
- Maximize revenue of service business.
- Develop and improve service network in terms of increasing service business.
- Ensure timely submission of quotes in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- Implement approved marine strategy.
- Proactively acquire sales of all RRS products for respective applications to end users and governmental customers via direct sales channel.
- Increase sales and sales expertise through distribution channels.
- Develop and implement service sales training, conferences, road shows etc. to penetrate market and increase revenue.
- Manage target-oriented claims.
- In charge of key account management for strategic customers.
- Any other assignment from line manager.
Key Experiences and Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma holder in Business Administration, engineering, marine-related application or similar, or possess equivalent qualifications.
- At least 5 years working experience in a marine-related position. Experience in sales or service position is a plus.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), proficient in office software.
- Customer-oriented.
- Willing to work under challenging and high-pressure conditions.
- Majority of work in HK. Available for occasional business travel.
- Good communication, interpersonal, negotiation and management skills.
