Commercial Banking - Corporate Banking
Hang Seng's Commercial Banking (CMB) business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from small and medium-sized businesses to large publicly listed companies and conglomerates, as well as institutional clients.
Corporate Banking is one of CMB's key customer segments, where we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured lending, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services to corporate customers conducting business locally or around the world. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join as Director, Corporate Banking - Commercial Real Estate.
Principal responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the business performance of multiple relationship teams covering customers in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) sector.
  • Deliver assigned targets across revenue, returns and costs, whilst maximising the contribution of the portfolio to Commercial Banking and Hang Seng.
  • Understand economic trends and their impact on clients in the portfolio and identify key levers to capitalise on opportunities or minimise downside exposure. Proactively implement risk mitigation measures to protect the Bank and its customers from all regulatory, compliance and service issues.
  • Grow the Bank's share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product solutions provided are in line with client requirements. Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis.
  • Develop and maintain an environment of consistent performance measurement, training and development, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Maintain and observe all Hang Seng control standards and implement the Risk and Compliance Policies, including recommendations from internal/external auditors and regulator. Adhere to Hang Seng's values.
Requirements
  • University graduate in business, finance and credit related disciplines and/or professional banking qualification.
  • Minimum 12 years of working experience in credit and relationship management in banking sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with minimum 8 years of experience in managerial position.
  • All-rounded in various aspects of commercial banking activities including lending and non-lending products.
  • Strong technical know-how in terms of sector knowledge, facility structuring, provision of advanced financial solutions as well as offering tailor-made financial instruments. Sound judgment in credit decision and maintain a high proficiency in credit risk management.
  • Holding of valid insurance and investment licenses.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
