The Team/Profile :
The Primary Research team predominantly supports the outreach needs of the content organization to access unique and exclusive data directly from the source. We secure information that cannot be found anywhere else in the public domain through the establishment of relationships with third parties to be able to provide the most comprehensive data possible to S&P Global Market Intelligence clients. As a newly formed multicultural team spread across 3 locations, currently in a state of transformation and looking to evolve and expand our operations, it is an exciting time for the team, and we look forward to welcoming new talented Primary Researchers to our family.

The Impact:

The Private Equity Outreach Specialist will primarily work alongside the Market Intelligence dataset teams on a workflow involving contacting firms to gather missing information. The tasks would require calling and email outreach to companies daily and establish relationship . As a member of the Primary Research team, you will be the last line of a defense in resolving data queries and delivering timely and quality data to our internal clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management.
  • Identify and source partnership opportunities through attending Private Equity Conferences, seminar, and building effective relationship with private equity firms.
  • identify key contacts in private equity space and generate interest.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align internal goals with new and existing partner relationships.
  • Keep a great ongoing relationship with current partners.
  • Identify, foster, and create new opportunities through networking.
  • Attend and participate in industry events.
  • Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Write and edit outreach materials, including presentations and newsletters.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of outreach and engagement efforts.
  • You will be recognized as a trusted partner to internal team and a successful relationship builder with private equity companies - capable of successfully navigating that relationship for an optimal outcome. This may include building the network, attending industry events, data sourcing, and other deliverables that required.
  • You will procure comprehensive information on the data tracked by the respective department.
  • Assist in resolving client questions as it relates to verifying information via company contacts and assist in audits on department datasets in order to reduce errors.
  • Will work within parameters and with limited supervision to ensure quality and performance to set standards.
  • Keeps up to date in knowledge of content sets. Builds industry knowledge by understanding industry trends and reporting standards.
  • Troubleshoots problems or issues and provide support to the team.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with external contacts as a means to actively track information on the covered content sets.
  • Managing outreach on time, within budget and ensuring timely feedback is provided to internal management.
What We're Looking For:
  • Networking aptitude
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in outreach and partnerships
  • Excellent relationship-building ability, including the ability to cultivate professional partnerships with internal and external contacts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of external partners.
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Deep experience working with PE companies is preferable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management skills
  • A good knowledge of the PE market in China
  • Language skills specific to Mandarin at a native level is a requirement while exhibiting excellent English business proficiency. Any additional fluency in other Asian language is a plus.
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Excellent skills on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
