Business Development and Account Manager

Our client is a leading global provider of digital and in-person learning solutions to the banking and financial services industry.
We are looking for a high-performing Business Development & Account Manager to drive sales growth in Asia-Pacific. The role involves travel and working on an office-centric hybrid schedule and will cover the full range of deliverables including market research, consulting with clients, solution selling, and working with both internal and external partners to ensure success.
The ideal candidate will have a strong B2B sales background with a proven track record of individual success in dynamic sales environments. They will be highly driven, with an aptitude for innovation and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Excellent client-facing and communication skills are essential.
The role:
- Developing existing accounts in APAC, seeking out new opportunities and logos plus working alongside our other product and services Business Development colleagues.
- Generating new business and meeting sales targets.
- Executing specific sales campaigns by prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities. These are primarily focused on instructor-led products, including coaching and executive education. But digital learning can also be sold.
- Delivering compelling sales presentations to prospects, highlighting the benefits and features of our client's various solutions.
- Developing accreditation and regulatory channels for learning solutions.
- Leveraging industry contacts to drive business development initiatives and enhance the company's presence in APAC.
- Evaluating competition, analyzing the market, and thinking laterally to target opportunities for growth in APAC whilst staying informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Utilizing commercial acumen to define and maximize opportunities.
- Attendance of networking events, conferences, and travel to clients where necessary.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in e-learning, classroom, and/or custom sales, embedded within learning solutions.
- A track record of consistently meeting and exceeding personal sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
- Proven experience in sales, especially in solution selling to the financial markets sector.
- Exceptional personal drive.
- Ability to work independently to meet and exceed targets, with a strong history of achieving and surpassing individual sales objectives.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), organizational skills, and attention to detail.
