DOO you have what it takes?

What you'll be working on:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize the platform's performance and scalability.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across the crypto exchange or related business, ensuring smooth transactions, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and compliance teams to improve operational processes and workflows.
  • Monitor market trends, volatility, and liquidity to assess risk and ensure platform readiness.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the operational team to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement within the team, ensuring performance metrics and KPIs are met.
  • Manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations for operational staff.
  • Ensure all operations align with legal and regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Work with the legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) regulations.
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
  • Provide regular reports on operational performance, risk assessments, and incident management to senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Manage any operational crises or incidents swiftly to minimize impact on the platform's services and reputation.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, with at least 2-3 years specifically in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, cryptocurrency markets, and the regulatory landscape.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and use insights to drive operational decisions and improvements.
  • Strong troubleshooting and crisis management skills, especially in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners effectively.
  • Familiarity with crypto exchange platforms, trading systems, project management software, and other operational tools.
  • Good communication skills in Mandarin and English.
  • Willing to relocate to Malaysia.
