Assistant Communications Manager

The appointee will be a core member of the publicity team in the Office. S/He will be responsible for preparing high-quality write-ups, press releases, newsletters, publications in both printed and electronic formats. The appointee will also assist in the planning and production of the University’s institutional publications (including the Annual Report, CityU’s flagship magazines, and newspaper supplements, etc.), and support promotional events such as ceremonies, lectures, conferences and major University-level programmes.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism/Linguistics/Translation or related disciplines with at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience. Candidates should have excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); in-depth knowledge about print/online publishing; strong organisational skills; and the ability to work under tight schedules and perform diversified duties are required. Knowledge of higher education in Hong Kong and solid experience in managing promotion and publication projects for a sizeable corporation would be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
