Job Description Reporting to the Founder & CEO, the Manager - Business Development and Partnerships serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the Foundation. This position is responsible for developing and establishing diverse fundraising avenues and overall business development for financial sustainability. The Manager will spearhead the organization's efforts to grow its impact through strategic partnerships, fundraising, and business development. This role involves identifying and securing new opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the organization's financial sustainability and strategic growth. As the Foundation is in a stage of growth and implementing new lines of financial sustainability, it is expected that all staff, including the Manager, will perform ad hoc administrative activities as assigned by the CEO as part of their overall responsibilities. Role-based Responsibilities Business Development and Fundraising Strategic Planning Develop and implement a comprehensive business development and fundraising strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals. Conduct market research to identify potential funding sources and partnership opportunities. Research and identify grant opportunities; write and submit grant proposals. Manage the grant application process, including reporting and compliance with funding requirements. Donor Engagement and Management Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, foundations, and corporate partners. Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including online campaigns, events, and direct mail. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and adjust strategies as needed. Networking and Partnerships Build and maintain strategic partnerships with organizations, businesses, and community leaders. Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and meetings to promote its mission and initiatives. Reporting and Evaluation Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress and outcomes for the board and stakeholders. Evaluate fundraising initiatives and recommend improvements based on data and feedback. Marketing and Communications Event Management Support in the execution of events to promote Sensational Foundation's fundraising and awareness-building activities. Evaluate event success based on predefined metrics and provide post-event analysis and recommendations for future improvements. Public Relations Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to generate positive media coverage for Sensational Foundation. Write and distribute press releases and other communications materials to enhance brand visibility. Stakeholder Engagement Engage with donors, volunteers, and community members to foster relationships and promote ongoing support. Marketing and Social Media Manage and oversee all marketing collateral and social media channels for the organization. Qualifications Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese) is essential for the role. Previous demonstrated success in a related function within non-profit in Hong Kong or Asia. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors. High energy and passion to help people with disabilities is essential. Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred in social sciences, social work, research, impact and related degrees.
